How do I get a ringtone I created in iTunes to my phone?

I have a Vzw phone and my mom won’t let us buy new ringtones from the phone programs so I made a ringtone from one of my songs on iTunes but I can’t figure out how to get it onto my phone. Can somebody help me? Thanks!
